Real Madrid superstar Cristiano Ronaldo is facing a fight for fitness, as he was seen leaving Portugal’s training session with a limp. The Portuguese has left prematurely with an ice pack on his left leg.
Ronaldo has been dealing with several injuries for the past weeks. The Portugal squad and fans were all hoping he would be fit in time for their World Cup opener. He seemed to be faring well with his recovery until he failed to complete the recent training session.
The player was able to participate only in the stretching part of their training but left the pitch with an ice pack on his knee.
99.9 percent Fit
The 29-year old has told reporters he was 99.9 per cent fit. In fact, he returned to action for 66 minutes in Portugal’s 5-1 friendly win over Ireland.
They are still waiting for any updates about his fitness as they prepare to face another footballing giant, Germany, on Monday.
