There are some safety considerations to follow when dealing with used pallet racking system. A regular inspection and effective maintenance program are highly recommended to avoid any catastrophic rack failure. If any area of the racking system fails to pass, an action plan for replacement or repair should be readily available. Posted Beam Capacities

To avoid placing a load that’s too heavy for the beams, label each one of them indicating their loading capacity. Indicate the rack system’s upright frame capacity. The total of all the beam capacities for each section should not exceed the upright frame’s rated capacity. Keep in mind, however, that the total upright frame capacity is not a fixed number. Therefore, it varies with the spacing of the beam levels.
